Crap. I'm upset about this, but I'm not registering for the do not call list. Less reputable companies use the do not call list as a place to harvest numbers...
Right, but we get a lot of non-reputable companies here at work, and my co-workers have noticed the same thing happening...I think that charities are exempt from the no-call list.
I registered my home number here 18 months ago ... other than the occasional charity I get absolutely 0 calls. Less reputable companies do NOT use it because the fines are astronomical.
ahhhh ... The FTC's Do-Not-Call rules do not apply to business-to-business calls, and businesses cannot place their names on the FTC's Do-Not-Call list (or if they do, it is meaningless).

actually, i have had both my work numbers placed on the do not call list...my number at Travelers and my number here.
Sorry - I meant that I get them here and my co-workers also get them at home (I don't get them at home because I've got a cell. Although apparently some jackass decided that it would be perfectly legal for me to pay for telemarketing. BLAH!!!!)
